AI Agent Readiness Checklist
24 checks to answer before you build an AI agent. Tick what is true for your business today and get a readiness score, your gaps and the next step. It takes about two minutes, and no email is needed.
How to use this checklist
Work through it with the person who owns the process you want to automate. Tick a box only if it is true today, not planned. Be strict: a box ticked too early usually shows up later as a delay.
- 20 to 24 ticked: ready to pilot. Scope one workflow, agree a fixed price and launch in 4 to 8 weeks.
- 13 to 19 ticked: nearly ready. Close the gaps in your lowest-scoring areas first.
- 12 or fewer: start with a short readiness audit, so the build budget goes on the agent rather than on rework.

Frequently asked questions
- What does "AI agent ready" mean?
- It means you have a clear task, the information and system access the agent needs, a person to take over when it is stuck, rules for risky actions and a way to measure results. The technology is rarely the blocker.
- Why does the data section matter so much?
- An agent can only be as accurate as the documents and data it works from. If they are out of date or scattered, fixing them comes before the build.
- Do I need all 24 checks before I start?
- No. A small pilot can start with gaps in some areas, as long as the use case, data and handover to people are clear. The risk and budget checks should be in place before customers use it.
- Is my answer saved or sent anywhere?
- No. The checklist runs in your browser and nothing you tick is stored or sent to us.
